I can鈥檛 quite believe the lack of support that the unemployed graduates are receiving (11 September, page 34)

It鈥檚 not about being promised jobs, it鈥檚 the fact that we have bothered to go on further and get an education because we thought there would be more opportunities for us with a degree than without. I鈥檓 not blaming the universities because they want more students or they wouldn鈥檛 be in jobs themselves.

The problem I have is what鈥檚 being done now to help get us into employment: very little and frankly it isn鈥檛 good enough. People who sit on their back ends and don鈥檛 really care whether they ever work seem to get support and training opportunities, whereas the people who want to work get nothing.
