Jam tomorrow for the 3500 lucky city centre schools (7 April).

Sounds good, but why just for the city centre schools? We are a rural comprehensive school of 1800 students, split over two sites five miles apart. Our facilities, built in the 1960s/70s, are poor quality and have been identified by Essex council for 拢3.3m of priority building repairs. And yes, we are allocated just 拢226,000. Maybe Richard Bowker would like to consider forgoing his additional 20 staff with all their costs and look at a basic repairs and maintenance framework for rural schools.
