Council gives consent for new rengeneration project in Woolwich
Berkeley Homes鈥� scheme for the redevelopment of Royal Arsenal in Woolwich has been granted planning permission by Greenwich Borough Council. The project will bring the total development to 3000 new homes 鈥� of which at least 1000 will be affordable or key-worker housing 鈥� and 300,000 sq ft of commercial space, including a 10-screen cinema. It will be Berkeley Homes鈥� biggest ever scheme.
London Development Agency's Executive Director for Regeneration and Development, Tony Winterbottom, said: 鈥淭he Royal Arsenal has become an exemplar for development in the Thames Gateway. The partnership we have formed with Berkeley Homes shows how sustainable communities can be delivered.鈥�
