Tom Carey鈥檚 death follows his brother John鈥檚 last year
One of the three brothers who co-founded Carey Group has died.
In a post on LinkedIn, the family firm announced that Tom Carey died on Tuesday (14 January).
He had moved to London along with siblings John and Pat in 1969 and started a groundworks contracting company called PJ Carey Plant Hire.
His death follows that of his sibling John Carey last September, aged 83.
鈥淭om was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and friend to many,鈥� his family said in a statement.
鈥淗e will be greatly missed by his loving family and close friends, whom we ask you to keep in your thoughts and prayers.
鈥淭hank you to everyone who has already expressed their condolences 鈥� we know from these how loved and respected Tom was and that he will be deeply missed by many.鈥�
The statement added: 鈥淭om was lucky enough to meet and work with so many good people. He had lots of fond memories and stories that he shared with us all in his unique way and with his dry sense of humour!鈥�
The family asked for privacy to 鈥渃ome to terms with this loss鈥�.
