The £11.5m institute contains television studios, control rooms, recording suites and animation services. Although modern and rectilinear in style, the building, designed by Architects Design Partnership, is enclosed within a brick shell that complements the neighbouring grade I-listed Pitshanger Manor, designed by Sir John Soane. YJL London was the contractor, GDC Partnership was structural , Chapman Bathurst was services engineer and Orbell Associates was the QS.
