WT Partnership, Currie & Brown and HOK+Lobb are three of the UK consultants involved in the stadia and associated buildings.
WT Partnership and HOK+Lobb are working on the 110 000-capacity Stadium Australia, as QS and architect respectively, along with Modus Consulting Engineers and Brian Ford and Associates. The £200m arena will host the Olympics' opening and closing ceremonies, the athletics and the football final. It is due for completion in March. Currie & Brown is QS on the stadium hosting the softball events.
Other British companies involved are Bovis, which is managing some of the £500m temporary works programme and part of the Olympic Village, and Mott MacDonald associate Connell Wagner, which has designed the hockey stadium roof.
