For a state-of-the-art interactive science centre in the German town of Wolfsburg, Saxony, Zaha Hadid has come up with a futuristic magic box designed to awaken curiosity and the desire for discovery.

Hadid鈥檚 hallmark 鈥渃omplex, dynamic and fluid spaces鈥 come in the form of two cavernous open-plan floors supported on and intersected by triangular funnel-shaped cones containing entrance hall, shop, restaurant and workshops. The British project team included Adams Kara Taylor as structural , Buro Happold as services engineer and Hanscomb as cost consultant.

The German firms on the project included Heitkamp as concrete contractor.
