Developers behind the 拢4.5bn Brent Cross and Cricklewood regeneration scheme have agreed to stump up 拢1bn in community benefits under a planning agreement with the council
About 拢700m will be spent on transport and 拢189m on environmental measures. It is thought to be the largest ever community benefits package put forward in a single planning application. The development is being taken forward by Hammerson and Standard Life, the owners of Brent Cross shopping centre, and a joint venture between Hammerson and Brookfield Europe which controls the rest of the 151 ha site.
