Three directors of Kent-based construction companies have been banned from holding company directorships for up to 10 years after a court judged them unfit.
Avtar Singh Ghag from Wolverhampton and Harjit Singh Nijjer from Gravesend, Kent, were both disqualified for 10 years in the High Court on 9 October.
Both were directors of labour-supply company Corstone Construction, based in Gravesend, which was wound up in March 1999 owing 拢1.2m in income tax, National Insurance and VAT payments.
Barrie John Stevens of Sittingbourne, Kent, was banned for five years after Dartford-based Stirling Construction Engineering and four associated companies collapsed with debts of 拢600 000. The case was heard at Bournemouth County Court on 18 October.
