Five firms are bidding to build RMJM-designed engineering building for the University of Sheffield
Bam Construct and Interserve are among five firms in the running for a £50m job to build a new engineering building for Sheffield university.
¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ understands that Interserve, Bowmer & Kirkland, Bam Construct, Miller and Sir Robert McAlpine are all vying for the contract to build the new RMJM-designed engineering building for the University of Sheffield.
The 19,500 sqm New Engineering ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ will serve as an undergraduate facility for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
Construction is due to begin this summer, with completion scheduled for December 2015.
Turner & Townsend are working as project managers and cost consultants, Arup as consulting engineers, and Montagu Evans as planning consultant.
