Kingspan Kooltherm insulation has been used to reduce heat loss through the walls of four terraced houses in Page Hall, Sheffield. The empty homes were chosen by the council as demonstration projects to show local people what could be done to improve the energy performance of small, solid-walled terraced housing. Because the homes were constructed from brick and were built right onto the pavement, internal insulation was the only option. To minimise the loss of interior space, 62.5mm thick Kooltherm K18 insulated plasterboard was used. A range of Kingspan Kooltherm products including K7 pitched roof board were used to insulate the roofs.
