Natural ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ Technologies’ (NBT) Pavaclad building system was used in the construction of Waingels College, Reading

The Pavaclad system features NBT Pavatherm Plus woodfibre insulation boards fixed directly to the building’s timber frame in a continuous layer, which is then over-clad in heat-treated softwood. The college is part of the government’s ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ Schools for the Future programme, and the company says the Pavaclad system was chosen as it provides a high level of thermal insulation; it achieved a U-value of 0.25W/m2K for the external walls and contributed to an airtightness level of 2.45m3/hr/m2@50Pa.
